Mörburg

The Mörburg even Merburg called, is a Outbound Wasserburg at 150  m above sea level. NN west of the district Höfen of the community Schutterwald in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was built at the beginning of the 12th century by the lords of Geroldseck , mentioned in 1129 and destroyed in the Thirty Years War . The other owners were the lords of Böcklin and the lords of Nassau-Saar Werden . In 1882 the castle hill was leveled. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.
