The city of Fellbach's Mörike Prize is a literary prize that the city of Fellbach has awarded every three years since 1991. It is awarded in memory of Eduard Mörike , who lived in Fellbach for some time in 1873.

The award is endowed with 15,000 euros. The award is given to German-speaking poets and writers who, due to the quality of their work, appear worthy of being honored in the name of Eduard Mörike.

The jury, consisting of a representative from the German Literature Archive in Marbach and a full professor of literature at a German-speaking university, selects a person of trust who is solely responsible for appointing the winner.

The Mörike Prize is linked to a sponsorship prize of 3000 euros, which can also be awarded to foreign-language authors. The sponsorship award is awarded by the winner.

The award ceremony, which takes place every spring, is connected to the Fellbach Literature Days, which deal with the work of the award winner, but also repeatedly with the works of Mörike. In the so-called “Mörike speech”, the award winner sheds light on his view of the German poet .
