The Möslbahn is in operation gondola in the ski resort Penken of the Mayrhofen mountain railways AG. This leads from the Hochschwendberg, a district of Hippach , to the Horberg. The cable car opened on December 15, 2018; the first work began in autumn 2017. In addition to the actual lift, an underground car park was built in the valley station.
prehistory
After the new construction of the Penkenbahn in 2015 and the construction of the Horbergbahn in 2000, the Ski Zillertal 3000 ski area can be reached by gondola from both Mayrhofen and Schwendau . So far, however, you have to use the ski bus from the Hochschwendberg to get to the nearest entrance to the ski area in Mayrhofen.
Technical specifications
The cabins of the D-Line generation cable car from Doppelmayr have space for 10 people each, which means that around 2000 people per hour can be transported. In addition to the investment of 18 million euros for the cable car with valley, middle and mountain stations, another 2.7 million euros were invested in 1.2 km of new slopes.
