Mühle is a former mill as well as a living space that has opened up in the area of the Lauda-Königshofener district of Unterbalbach in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .
geography
The Mühle residential area that was opened up was in the area of today's Untere Mühlstraße in the outgoing Balbachtal . The Mühlgraben , which is now partially gutted , and which branched off to the left of the Balbach in Unterbalbach, fed a mill with water before flowing into the Tauber from the right several hundred meters later . The lower part of the former Mühlgraben is now known as the Lachengraben .
history
On the table sheet no. 6424 "Königshofen" from 1881, the place was still separated from the town center as a residential area and was referred to as the Lower Mill . Another mill (Obere Mühle) was located in the village in 1881. The living space later opened in the village of Unterbalbach.
The living space came to the city of Lauda-Königshofen as part of the formerly independent community of Unterbalbach on January 1, 1975, when the city of Lauda merged with the city of Königshofen and the community of Unterbalbach as part of the regional reform in Baden-Württemberg .
