The Münder Heerstraße is a historical route connection in the Calenberger Land . It runs over the Deister from Wennigsen to Bad Münder . In the sources it is often referred to as Alte Münder Heerstrasse.

In both places streets are still named after her. In Wennigsen, it rises from the Waldkater location by around 250 meters to the Deisterkamm. From Köllnischfeld it continues south-west down to Münder.

The term Heerstraße comes from the Old or Middle High German language and describes a street that was wide for the time.

In addition to its possible use as a military connection route, it is listed in the Bredenbecker Chronik von Gewecke above all as the street of the Söltjer . They use this as a trade route over the Deister and use it to export the salt extracted from Münder. He gives their length with 2500 rods .

Since 1835, the road was no longer passable due to deep lanes. Since the Wennigsen office did not have the money for repairs, public transport has since been diverted via Steinkrug . Only the lower part of the street was used to remove coal and the like. a. from the Egestorff tunnel at Hülsebrink used until 1899. Today, the course in the forest is no longer released for regular vehicle traffic, but is used for forestry and local recreation.
