Mad is an American animated series produced by Warner Bros. Animation and broadcast on Cartoon Network . The series is based on Mad magazine and contains various skits . Columns such as Spy & Spy , Don Martin or Sergio Aragonés are animated.

Production and publication

The series was produced by Warner Bros. Animation in 2010 and directed by Aaron Horvath , Pete Levin , Ethan Marak , Harry Chaskin and Jeff Gardner . DC Entertainment was also involved in the production, with Mark Marek , Kevin Shinick and David L. Mendel as producers , the latter also responsible for editing. The music comes from Rony Brack , Devin Flynn and Dean Landon , along with minor contributions from others . Because of the many guest appearances of characters from other series and films, a lot of voice actors were involved in Mad . The core group included Kevin Shinick, Hugh Davidson , Mikey Day , Gray DeLisle , Larry Dorf , Rachel Ramras , Tara Strong , Frank Welker, and Gary Anthony Williams .

The television series was shown on Cartoon Network in the United States from September 6, 2010 . The last of the 103 episodes was seen on December 2, 2013. The station also showed Mad in the rest of America, others broadcast the series in Russia, Australia, France, Portugal and the Philippines. The first of the four seasons was released on DVD in 2011 and 2012.
