CCL3 (synonym MIP1α) is a cytokine from the family of CC chemokines .

properties

CCL3 is involved in inflammatory processes. It binds polymorphonuclear leukocytes by binding the receptors CCR1 , CCR4 and CCR5 . CCL3 is involved in the pathogenesis of chromoblastomycosis and the defense against infections with HIV- 1.
