Małgorzata Bornowska

Małgorzata Bornowska (born in Szczecin ) is a Polish choir director .

Training and engagements

She studied music education at the Fryderyk Chopin University for Music in Warsaw . She graduated with honors. She then studied choir conducting and vocal training at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz for two years . In 2011 she received her doctorate from the Warsaw University of Applied Sciences .

From 1999 to 2001 she worked with the “Słowiki” boys' choir in Szczecin. From 2000 to 2005 she was vocal accompanist with the Chamber Choir of the West Pomeranian Technical University . Since 2005 she has been the choir director of the Opera na Zamku in Szczecin. Since 2013 she has been working as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Music Education of the Art Academy in Szczecin.

Performances

Under her leadership, the Opera na Zamku choir expanded its concert activities . She directed the productions for Farfurka królowej Bony , O krasnoludkach i sierotce Marysi and Dla Niepodległej . As part of a joint project for the performance of Tannhäuser and the Sängerkrieg auf Wartburg under the musical direction of Golo Berg in the 2016/2017 season, she led the choir of the Opera na Zamku , the direction of the opera choir of the Vorpommern Theater was Julija Domaševa .
