Ma'ale HaChamisha ( Hebrew מַעֲלֵה הַחֲמִישָּׁה, English Ma'ale HaHamisha ) is a kibbutz in Israel. It is located in the Jerusalem district , which is part of the Mateh Jehuda regional government . It was founded in 1938 by members of the Zionist youth movement Gordonia .
Ma'ale HaChamischa had a total of 769 inhabitants in 2018.
Surname
The Hebrew name of the kibbutz means "rise of the five". It commemorates five young settlers who were ambushed not far from Ma'ale HaChamischa in November 1937 and killed by Arabs. These goods:
