The MaK G 765 locomotive is a diesel-hydraulic locomotive that was built by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK) . It is included in the third MaK type program, which was offered from 1977. It is the successor of the MaK G 763 C and differs from it externally in that it is 480 mm longer. It was built with engines from MWM , MTU and Caterpillar . The model with the Caterpillar engine had the largest share of the production series with 13 copies. The MaK G 765 has three axles located in the frame, which are driven by cardan shafts.
