Maarika Võsu
Maarika Võsu (born June 7, 1972 in Tartu ) is an Estonian sword fencer .
Maarika Võsu took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and finished fifth with the epee team and 18th place in the epee singles. In 2003 she won silver in the individual and with the team at the European Championships in Bourges .
At the 2005 World Championships in Leipzig , she surprisingly won the silver medal. In the semi-finals she defeated the French double Olympic champion Laura Flessel with 15:14 in sudden death . In the final she was defeated by the Polish fencer Danuta Dmowska with 11:12.
At the Fencing World Championships in Lisbon in 2002 , Võsu won the silver medal with the Estonian women's epee team.
