Maarten Hendrik van Dulm (born August 4, 1879 in Arnhem , † April 25, 1949 in Wassenaar ) was a Dutch fencer and vice admiral .
Life
Maarten van Dulm took part in two Olympic Games . At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 , he did not get beyond the preliminary round in the individual, while he reached the final round with the team, in which he finished third behind Italy and Hungary . Together with Jetze Doorman , Jan van der Wiel , Arie de Jong , Hendrik Scherpenhuijzen and Henri Wijnoldy-Daniëls , he received the bronze medal. In 1928 he finished fifth with the team in Amsterdam .
Van Dulm was promoted to Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy . From 1934 to 1936 he was in command of the Dutch Navy in the Dutch East Indies . His awards include the Commander-in-Chief of the Order of Orange-Nassau and the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Dutch Lion .
