Mabel in an embarrassing position , whose original title is Mabel's Strange Predicament , has also become known as Hotel Mixup . He is an in black and white twisted American silent film from 1914. After Charlie Chaplin on 7 February 1914 in soapbox derby in Venice gave his debut as a tramp on the screen, he appeared in the film for the second time in this costume.

The tramp appears in a hotel lobby and causes confusion there. He is particularly fond of elegant Mabel. A rocking chair and a dog leash make life especially difficult for him.
When Mabel locks herself out of her hotel room, she is suddenly in the hotel hallway in her pajamas. In her desperation, she flees to a strange room and hides under the bed of a hotel guest.
