The Chinese Ming Dragon, a symbol of Chinese identity, is to be exhibited at an international cultural forum. The Kossovs belong to the Russian delegation. In the course of the preparations, MacGyver's former fiancée Lisa turns to him and asks that she and her new husband, Russian Major Nikolai Kossov, defected to the United States. MacGyver's plan for the overflow operation fails when Kossov is arrested by his compatriots and they then pursue MacGyver and Lisa. When MacGyver and Lisa are encircled by the Russians on their escape, they take Lisa hostage and demand that MacGyver kill her, steal the Ming dragon and bring her to them.

MacGyver and Jack steal the Ming dragon from the exhibition hall, whose security precautions he had previously tightened himself. Assuming that Nikolai had been liquidated because of an attempt to escape, they successfully arrange for Lisa to be exchanged for the dragon, which MacGyver had previously secretly exchanged for an imitation. After Lisa has told them that Nikolai is not dead after all, she leads them to the general's hiding place. There Nikolai and Lisa reveal themselves as still convinced Soviets. Since Lisa still loves MacGyver, she helps MacGyver and Jack to escape, where she is mortally wounded herself.

Former contract killer Jimmy Kendall, who leads a new life under witness protection, is recognized by members of the mafia family against whom he once testified as the main witness. MacGyver protects him from being shot by the gangsters. However, when they kidnap Jimmy's daughter and grandson, Jimmy flees MacGyver's custody to trade for the prisoners. MacGyver can ultimately ensure that the gangsters are overwhelmed and the prisoners are freed.

MacGyver is out surveying the wild. He discovers a ship anchored in a bay. From there he flees from a Bigfoot-like monster with the Baltic girl Karin, who was on the way as a stowaway. They soon realize that the men responsible for the murder of Karin's cousin are tapping into an oil pipeline near the bay and pumping the oil onto the ship. The monster turns out to be a man in a fur suit that MacGyver can overpower before he and Karin are rescued by Pete's help.

MacGyver's friend, insurance detective Danny, is murdered after discovering the diamond thief Amir Sumal. Both MacGyver and Danny's sister Nikki Carpenter are investigating Vulnay's circle to gather evidence against him. Sumal enjoys diplomatic immunity and has the stolen diamonds in the consulate. MacGyver and Nikki are covertly investigating him and are exposed by a private detective. Nevertheless, they can set a trap for Vulnay so that he is convicted of a diamond thief.

Shortly behind the German-German border, a US aircraft called GX-1 with secret military technology crashed. The Russians are looking for the wreck with the help of Comrade Starkoss, who is a medium . MacGyver and Nikki go to the wreck and blow it up. In their escape from the Soviet soldiers back across the border, Starkoss helps them, who wants to defected to the West. After crossing the border with a self-made hot air balloon, Starkoss decides to return to the east for fear of imprisonment.

Jack Dalton is arrested in a small town in Arkansas and locked in a prison-like re-education facility. He intends to look for the hidden money of a bank robber in the area there. He steers MacGyver to him under an excuse to let him help him with the breakout. The prison management lets the inmates work in the disused mine, where they and Jack secretly suspect the money. Eventually they are forced by the prison administration to withdraw the money; in the process, the money is destroyed and their breakout is made possible.

MacGyver's best friend Mike falls fatally while climbing a hundred meters high wall of Mount Widowmaker. He then withdraws to Pete's vacation cabin nearby. The professional killer Murdoc follows Nikki there and tries unsuccessfully to kill him using a flamethrower, car bomb and minefield. MacGyver and Nikki flee Murdoc in the direction of Mike's disaster. There they can get rid of Murdoc, so that he falls into the abyss.

MacGyver is refereeing a student obstacle competition at his former university. David Ryman, the son of MacGyver's former physics professor Julian Ryman, is cheated out of victory by a competitor. Desperate, the suicidal David barricades himself in a laboratory that is located under the nuclear physics laboratory with a self-made time bomb. MacGyver and the professor manage to defuse the bomb at the last minute before it causes a nuclear explosion.

Nikki runs into an assassin by accident. In order not to be identified by her, he wants to murder her. She turns to MacGyver for help, who is able to prevent her killing. Together they track down the assassin and follow him to his accomplices, who murder him, however, because he has been persecuted. After MacGyver escaped his murder, he realizes that the assassins want to blow up the judicial administration building. MacGyver can ultimately defuse the bomb and thus prevent the attack.

Phoenix scientist Dr. Milhouse illegally sent an organism she had developed into space with a Phoenix satellite. After this crashed on earth, it turns out that the organism has mutated in space and that living beings age rapidly under its influence. Dr. Milhouse ostensibly implements Pete's order to destroy the organism, but secretly keeps another amount of it, which her dog pulls out of her arms. This causes the dog and the woman to die and the self-destruct sequence of the underground research facility is triggered. MacGyver manages to get himself and Pete to safety from the explosions at the last minute by manually intervening in the elevator electronics to get the deactivated elevator running again.

A missile disposal project led by Pete has an accident that leaves three dead. Assuming he has failed, Pete resigns from his job. MacGyver finds out that Pete's successor, Matthew Webber, is responsible for the sabotage that led to the accident. Webber wanted Pete to resign and take his place. He disagrees with the US and Pete’s course to peacefully question the foreign President Amundi, who is responsible for terrorism. Webber replaces Phoenix staff with people who are loyal to the line, with whom he kidnaps and tortures Amundi. MacGyver, Pete and Nikki manage to overpower Webber and his followers and free Amundi.

MacGyver works as a substitute coach for a local hockey team in Minnesota. Its player Derek Kirby often plays against the rules. Under the influence of his father and a player's agent, who want to sell him to a national league team because of his violent style of play, he causes a serious injury to an opponent. As a result, he comes to the conviction that he does not want to be sold, but wants to stop playing completely. MacGyver convinces him not to stop and mediates between him and his father. After all, he and his team win the play-offs.

Jack Dalton and MacGyver are hired as pilot and co-pilot on a flight that will take Mrs. Helena Itourbé and her newly acquired jewels to Toulon, France. After landing, Itourbé turns out to be a liar and a cheat, Jack and MacGyver are arrested by the police as their accomplices. After escaping custody and going to Itourbé's whereabouts, a winery, MacGyver is arrested. Meanwhile, Pete, who has traveled later, goes with Jack's help to the winery, where he appears as a bidder for the auction of the gemstones with a stolen identity. MacGyver and Jack can free Pete and convict the jewel thieves.

On behalf of the Phoenix Foundation, MacGyver is leading the creation of an environmental report for a coastal region in which an investor wants to build a huge port area. In the event of construction, serious environmental problems threaten. The investor instructs Ms. Deborah to change MacGyver's opinion about the appraisal so that it can be built and, if he is not changed, to murder him. Therefore, Deborah MacGyver seeks closeness until they fall in love. MacGyver survived a bomb attack secretly triggered by Deborah with injuries to his eyes. Temporarily blind as a result, Deborah leads him to be murdered in a remote factory hall. But MacGyver thwarts his killing with cunning and skill.

The toxic waste disposal company ChemCo illegally dumps radioactive waste water into a river. The traumatized Vietnam War veteran and hermit "Earthquake" Toberman observed this, and shortly afterwards met MacGyver. The Phoenix Foundation, for which MacGyver is investigating the river, uses Toberman as the main witness against ChemCo. The company tries to get rid of Toberman by framing him with a murder. Toberman flees from the police to the ChemCo company premises to take revenge on the management. MacGyver follows him, frees him from the power of the company management and arrests the managing director as a criminal with him.

Jack Dalton's friend, the Indian Two Eagles, asks Jack to take him to the Indian reservation and look for the wolf mask, a symbol of the cultural identity of the Indian tribe. However, Two Eagles is kidnapped by two treasure hunters who want to find the mask with his help and out of greed for profit. MacGyver and Jack follow them through the wintry forest landscape to the cave into which Two Eagles has led the gangsters, and free Two Eagles from the cave before they can overwhelm the fleeing gangsters and secure the mask.

The petty criminal Carlo is shot by counterfeiters from whom he has stolen money printing plates and counterfeit money. His wife Katey watches the murder and escapes the counterfeiters. Fearful of being caught, she dumps her baby, the printing plates and the money in Jack Dalton's hangar. MacGyver, Jack and Pete investigate Katey and the counterfeiter. After Katey has reported back to them, they end up in the club where the counterfeiters have their printing equipment and overpower the criminals.

MacGyver visits his ex-college friend Karen in the national park, where she works as a ranger. In order to reconcile with her, he wants to help her track down poachers. After Karen is shot by a poacher, the poachers try to escape after MacGyver sabotaged her car. To protect themselves, they now hunt down Karen and MacGyver for the purpose of murder. The two flee in the direction of a refuge, near which MacGyver can put the poachers out of action before the other rangers come to the rescue.
64 20th The last of the Chung family Murderers' Sky May 9, 1988 July 1, 1989 Mike Vejar Herman Miller
A Hong Kong corporation has attempted an assassination attempt on company owner Adam Chung in order to take over his company. Chung survives seriously injured. Since his only child has long been dead, he has the Phoenix Foundation bring his 14-year-old grandson Luke Chung to bed, whom he wants to use as the heir of the company. The company tries to murder Luke too, which fails because of MacGyver's intervention. After the CEO had let his grandfather be fatally poisoned, Luke searches for the murderers in Chinatown. The CEO has MacGyver and Luke kidnapped to blackmail Luke. The two break free and overpower the kidnappers. Luke continues to run the company with the Phoenix Foundation acting as trustee.
