Reboot (fiction)
The term reboot is used for a fictional work that reinterprets an earlier fictional work such as a film, analogous to the remake , but in contrast to this does not recognize the validity of the predecessor work or works. In a reboot, the previously narrated continuity no longer applies; rather, the story is told again from the beginning and from a different position. The term is often used for the new beginning of a movie or video game - franchises used, so a series of works.
