The MacMillan Point is an ice-free headland on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 2.5 km north of Cape Chocolate and forms the north side of the entrance to Salmon Bay .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1992 after Mark T. MacMillan (1965-1987) of the University of California, Santa Cruz , who died on November 14, 1987 in a diving accident in the New Harbor .
