Machikado Mazoku ( ま ち カ ド ま ぞ く , literally translated as Street Corner Demons ) is a manga series by Izumo Itō published since 2014 , which appears in the Manga Time Kirara Carat published by Hōbunsha and currently comprises five volumes.

The manga series was implemented as an anime series that comprises twelve episodes and was shown in 2019.

action

One day, 15-year-old high school student Yuko Yoshida grows horns and a demon's tail after a nightly dream . It is said that she is a descendant of the dark clan and was given the task of defeating a magical girl who lived nearby and using her blood to restore her clan to old size and to loosen a curse that lies on Yuko's family.

Characters

Yuko Yoshida ( 吉田 優 子 , Yoshida Yūko )
A student at the high school , which one day awakens her demonic powers and receives the assignment to defeat a magical girl up close. Her name as a demon is Shadow Mistress Yuko . To their displeasure, her friends call her Shamiko. Despite her origins, she is physically weak. When it feels threatened, it can take its hazard management form.
Momo Chiyoda ( 千代 田 桃 , Chiyoda Momo )
A magical girl and classmate of Yuko. Although she is one of the weakest magical girls, Momo has great physical strength. She is known to complete her magical girl transformation in 0.01 seconds.
Lilith ( リ リ ス , Ririsu )
Lilith is Yuko's ancestor who can communicate with Yuko through dreams. She can accept offerings through a demon statue carried around by Yuko. If a switch is operated on the base of the statue, Lilith can take control of Yuko's body. Her nickname is Shamicen.
Mikan Hinatsuki ( 陽 夏 木 ミ カ ン , Hinatsuki Mikan )
A magical girl who moved to town to support Momo after her magical powers waned. Mikan is burdened with a curse , the other in disaster. The curse is triggered when she gets upset.
Anri Sata ( 佐 田 杏 里 , Sata Anri )
Yuko's friend and classmate.
Shion Ogura ( 小 倉 し お ん , Ogura Shion )
A classmate of Yuko, Momo and Anri who has an interest in the occult and is a member of the school's black magic club.
Ryōko Yoshida ( 吉田 良 子 , Yoshida Ryōko )
Yuko's younger sister. She is still in middle school and is eager to support her big sister in her job.
Seiko Yoshida ( 吉田 清 子 , Yoshida Seiko )
Yuko's and Ryoko's mother.
Joshua ( ヨ シ ュ ア , Yoshua )
Yukos and Ryoko's father. His code name in the human world is Taro Yoshida ( 吉田 太郎 Yoshida Tarō ). He has a youthful appearance. It was sealed in a moving box by Sakura Chiyoda .
Sakura Chiyoda ( 千代 田 桜 , Chiyoda Sakura )
Momo's sister-in-law who watched over the city as a magical girl before Momo. She disappeared ten years ago after manipulating Siegel to bring happiness to Yuko's family.

Manga

Machikado Mazoku was in 2014 by mangaka Izumo Ito as yonkoma started and in the magazine Manga Time Kirara Carat the publisher Hōbunsha published. The comics were collected and published as a manga in the Tankōbon format. In November 2019, a two-month break was announced due to the author's health problems.

The publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced in July 2020 to publish the manga series in print and digital form in English .

Anime

On January 28, 2019, an anime project in the form of a series was announced in the March issue of the Manga Time Kirara Carat . The anime was created at Studio JCStaff with Hiroaki Sakurai as director. Keiichirō Ōchi wrote the script , the characters were designed by Mai Otsuka, while the serial music was written by Miki Sakurai. The series aired on TBS and BS-TBS between July 11, 2019 and September 26 of the same year .

Konomi Kohara and Akari Kitō sang the single player with Machi Kado Tangent . Kohara, Kitō, Minami Takahashi and Tomoyo Takayanagi played the end credits with Yoi Machi Cantare . The series consists of twelve episodes.

On August 27, 2020, it was announced that the anime will have a second season.
