Maciej Sobczyk (born December 16, 1990 in Tuchów ) is an Austrian football player of Polish descent.
Career
Sobczyk started his career at DSV Fortuna 05 . In 2003 he moved to the Vienna Sports Club . In 2006 he came to AKA St. Pölten , where he played until 2009. From 2009 he was used for the amateurs of the SKNV St. Pölten . With St. Pölten II he rose to the state league in the same year .
In August 2009 he made his debut in this when he was in the starting line-up against SKU Amstetten on the first day of the 2009/10 season . In September 2009 he made his debut for the professionals from St. Pölten in the second division when he started against FC Admira Wacker Mödling on matchday ten of that season and was replaced by Stephan Zwierschitz in the 57th minute . However, this remains a single mission for St. Pölten.
For the 2011/12 season Sobczyk moved to the regional division SV Horn . With Horn he rose to the second highest division at the end of the season. In the promotion season he came to six missions in the regional league , in which he remained without a hit.
After he had not played for Horn in the first half of the 2012/13 season, he moved to fifth-rate FC Tulln during the winter break of that season . With Tulln he rose to the end of the season in the regional league .
For the 2016/17 season he moved to the eight-class ÖTSU Großmugl . During the winter break of the 2017/18 season, he joined FC Polska Wien , with whom he was promoted to seventh-class 1st class at the end of the season .
Personal
Sobczyk was born in Tuchów , Poland in 1990 . He and his family moved in 1992 to Vienna after Austria . His brother Alex (* 1997) is also a soccer player.
