Mademoiselle chante ... is the first album by the French singer Patricia Kaas .

About the album

The song Mademoiselle chante le blues by French composer Didier Barbelivien became Patricia Kaas' first big hit. The single, released in 1987, reached number 7 in the French single charts , the following single D'Allemagne (number 11 in the French single charts) from 1988 can also be found in her first album Mademoiselle chante ..., which was released shortly thereafter .

The album reached number 2 in the French charts, where it stayed for more than two months, and stayed in the top 10 for a total of 64 weeks and in the top 100 for a total of 118 weeks. Shortly after its release, it received gold for more than 100,000 records sold, after three months even platinum (more than 350,000 records sold). In total, the album has been sold more than 2.5 million times worldwide to date. In the order of the most successful albums in France since 1968, it ranks 36th.
