Madison Irwin (born July 18, 1991 in Toronto ) is a Canadian ski racer . She has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2011.

biography

Irwin took part in FIS races for the first time in winter 2006/2007 and started in the Nor-Am Cup for the first time next winter . After her first victories and podium places in FIS races, she won her first points in the Nor-Am Cup in March 2008. In the winter of 2008/2009 she achieved her first top 10 results in this racing series. In 2010 and 2011 Irwin took part in two Junior World Championships , her best result being tenth place in the giant slalom of the 2011 Junior World Championships in Crans-Montana . At the Canadian Championships in 2011, she finished second in the super combination.

At the end of the 2010/2011 season , Irwin achieved the first podium places in the Nor-Am Cup, placing them seventh in the overall standings. She was able to improve further next winter , celebrating her first victory in the Vail slalom on February 4, 2012 and finishing fourth in the Nor-Am overall standings. In the World Cup , Irwin made her debut on November 28, 2010 in the Aspen slalom , which was her only start in the 2010/2011 season. After her inclusion in the Canadian national squad, she came to further World Cup appearances in the 2011/2012 season , in which she remained without points. In the 2013/14 season, Irwin won the overall standings of the Nor-Am Cup.
