Magdolna Csath (born December 15, 1943 ) is a Hungarian economist .

Career, research and teaching

Csath studied between 1962 and 1966 at the Corvinus University Budapest , which at that time was called the Karl Marx University of Economics . After graduating there with the equivalent of a master's degree , she moved to Eötvös Loránd University . In 1968 she completed her studies there with a doctorate . Between 1969 and 1971 she was at the London Business School , where she graduated as a Master of Business Administration . She then returned to Hungary and worked at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences , where she received a Ph.D. Title has been awarded. She later taught at the Karl Marx University of Economics . In 1986 she followed an appointment from abroad and became a professor at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University . In 1990 she moved to Old Dominion University , but returned to Europe a year later and took on a professorship at the Scottish University of Stirling . Just a year later she went back to Hungary, where she worked at the West Hungarian University in Sopron . She later took over the management of the economics department at the Kodolányi János University in Székesfehérvár , where she later retired . Since 2012 she has been supporting the then newly founded National University for Public Administration in Budapest , which includes the Faculty of Economics at Corvinus University.

Casth's work focuses on business issues relating to strategic decisions , change and innovation management, especially quality management and total quality management , but also the discussion of the framework for globalization and intercultural exchange, while she dealt with the social market economy .
