Maggie Furey

Maggie Furey (born November 5, 1955 in Herfordshire , England , † November 3, 2016 in Ireland ) was a British fantasy writer.

Life

Maggie Furey was born on November 5, 1955 in Herfordshire, North East England. She worked as a teacher and reviewed books for BBC Radio Newcastle. She became known for her epic fantasy cycle "The Artifacts of Power". She later worked full-time as a writer. In 1995 she received the British Fantasy Award for best newcomer (Icarus).

Maggie Furey lived in Ireland with her husband and their beloved cats.
