Magnar Lundemo (born March 4, 1938 in Meråker , † January 7, 1987 in Meråker) was a Norwegian cross-country skier and athlete .

Career

Lundemo, who started for the IL Varden , finished as a cross-country skier at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley in 16th place over 30 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1962 , he was over 15 km and fourth with the relay. In March 1962 he took third place over 50 km at the Lahti Ski Games . At the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1964 , he came in eighth place over 15 km and fourth place with the relay. The following year he finished third in the Svenska Skidspelen over 30 km and in 1966 first place with the relay. In 1974 he won the Marcialonga . At Norwegian championships he won second and third place three times. In 1961 he became the Norwegian champion over 15 km.

As a track and field athlete, Lundemo won the Norwegian championships over 10,000 m in 1961 and 1962 and in the marathon in 1964. At the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade in 1962 , he came 19th over 10,000 m.

In 1962 Lundemo was awarded the Egebergs Ærespris .
