Magnum Rafael Farias Tavares (born March 24, 1982 in Belém ) is a Brazilian football player.

Career

The 1.74 meter tall midfielder began his career with Tuna Luso Brasileira , with whom he was under contract in 2002. He played his first verifiable league games for Paysandu SC , where he was under contract for two years. In the two seasons Magnum completed 33 league games and scored six goals. In 2004 and 2005 he was in the squad of the EC Vitória , where he scored a goal in 28 league games. In 2005 he played for Iraty SC and was awarded to FC Santos in the same year . Magnum was used in five games for Santos.

After he had not yet made his breakthrough in Brazil, he tried his luck in Japan at Kawasaki Frontale . In his first year he played 18 league games and scored four times. In the second year he came on a league use more, but scored seven goals. After two years with Kawasaki, he signed a three-year contract with Nagoya Grampus . In his first year, he made 26 league games and scored eight goals. He played 22 league games in 2009 and scored four goals. In 2010, his senior year, he played 31 league games and scored twice. He also played seven games in the Kaiser Cup , where he scored once in the last year and played ten games without Torerolf in the J. League Cup. He was also in action for Nagoya Grampus in the AFC Champions League (8 games / 1 goal). In 2011, Magnum made four league appearances in South Korea at Ulsan Hyundai .

After his time in Asia, Magnum was still under contract with the Brazilian clubs AD São Caetano , Clube do Remo , São Carlos FC and Volta Redonda FC . In the latter, he is currently still playing.
