Magnus Alkarp

Magnus Alkarp (born March 31, 1959 ) is a Swedish prehistorian and author from Uppsala . He specializes in the archeology of Uppsala.

Life

Magnus Alkarp studied music and composition in Gothenburg from 1977 to 1980 . He specialized in jazz and church music . In addition, he dealt with dramaturgy and script . 1980 to 1985 he worked as a composer a. a. for the Swedish Imperial Theater (Svenska Riksteatern).

He studied archeology at Uppsala University and dealt with the history of Uppsala and the transition from the Viking Age to the Middle Ages in Sweden. He has also examined the influence of the German National Socialists on Swedish archeology from 1933 to 1940.

From 1996 he also became known as a fiction writer when he published his first novel De gyllene åren by Gedins. The historical novel Mästaren vid vägens slut followed in 1999 .
