Magnus Jonsson

Magnus Jonsson (born April 4, 1982 in Sollefteå ) is a former Swedish biathlete .

Magnus Jonsson is a student and lives in Sollefteå. The athlete from Jämtland Biathlon has been practicing biathlon since 2002. He is trained by Staffan Eklund and earlier also by Wolfgang Pichler . He has been a member of the Swedish national team since 2005.

In 2002 he entered the Junior World Championships in Ål and the following year at the Junior World Championships in Kościelisko each with no notable success. He made his debut in the biathlon world cup in 2005 in Östersund as 101st in the individual. From the following season 2006/07 he was able to improve continuously and in Antholz in the context of the Biathlon World Championships 2007 as 30th in the pursuit for the first time in the World Cup points. Magnus Jonsson took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics. His best result was 79th place in the sprint.
