Career

Magnus Molin achieved his first international successes at European youth championships, where he won six medals: in 1994 and 1996 he was European youth champion in singles, and in 1994 with the Swedish team. In 1995 and 1997 he reached the final in the singles. In doubles with the Italian Umberto Giardina , he finished second in 1994.

In the adult field, he was nominated for the World Championships in 1999 , 2001 and 2003 . In 2001, he made it to the semi-finals in a team competition. At the European Championships, he won gold with the team in 2000 and 2002 .

In 2001, Molin moved from the Swedish club Malmö FF (previously Solleftea BTK, BTK Stratos, Lyckeby BTK) to the German Bundesliga for Borussia Düsseldorf . Here he was involved in winning the German championship in the 2002/03 season. A planned change to TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut in 2004 did not materialize because this club withdrew its team from the Bundesliga. Instead, Molin went to the Spanish club San Sebastian de los Reyes. In 2005 he was signed by Werder Bremen , who were promoted to the Bundesliga , in 2006 he joined the TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell and a year later the SV Plüderhausen . In 2010 he returned to Sweden to the Kävlinge BTK association.
