Maher Zain ( Arabic ماهر زين, Born July 16, 1981 in Tripoli , Lebanon ) is a Swedish R&B singer, songwriter and music producer of Lebanese origin. He released his debut album Thank You Allah in 2009. The follow-up album Forgive Me was released on April 2, 2012.

Life

Zain's family moved to Sweden when he was eight years old. He has a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering . After his studies he joined in 2005, the record label Konvict Muzik by RedOne and Akon in. A year later he went to New York City. After returning to Sweden, he devoted himself to rhythm and blues , which he modified with texts influenced by Islam and Arabic musical elements.
