Hodschatoleslam Mahmood Khalilzadeh (born April 1964 in Tehran , Iran ) is head of the Islamic Center in Frankfurt am Main and chairman of the Islamic Community of Shiite communities in Germany .

Life

He passed his Abitur in 1979. In parallel to his upper secondary school, he studied at one of the most renowned theology schools in the country, Hawza -Elmie Teheran. In 1983 he moved to the city of Qom , which is holy for Shiites, and attended the al-Hadi school of theology there under the direction of Ayatollah Meshkini . There he studied Arabic literature, principles of Fiqh (Islamic law), interpretation of the Koran , Koran studies and philosophy (this in the Saadet school, also in Qom).

In 1988 Mahmood Khalilzadeh began studying theology as well as studying law with a focus on “judicial rights”.

In addition to his native Persian , he also speaks Arabic, Turkish and German.

Mahmood Khalilzadeh was hired in 1989 at the age of 25 as a lecturer in general theology at the theology college of the Islamic Azad University in Tehran.

For a period of 8 years he taught subjects such as the interpretation of the Koran, basic knowledge of Islamic law and their specialist knowledge of legal Islamic laws and rights.

During his law studies Mahmood Khalilzadeh was director of teaching and research at the radio station "Radio Quran" for a period of one year. Mahmood Khalilzadeh was invited to Germany by the Islamic Center in Munich in 1998 and began working there as the head of the Islamic Center. After four years in Munich, he followed the recommendation of the head of the Academy for Islamic Studies in Germany and opened another Academy for Islamic Studies in Munich, which he also took over as director. Experiences as leaders of Islamic and cultural communities include the Islamic cultural community of Iranians in Berlin and the Islamic-cultural association Ahlebeyt Switzerland in Zurich.

Mahmood Khalilzadeh has been head of the Center for Islamic Culture eV in Frankfurt / M since 2010. and since 2013 Chairman of the Islamic Community of Shiite Congregations in Germany.
