Ali Meshkini

Ali-Akbar Meschkini (* 1922 ? In Meschkin ; † July 30, 2007 in Tehran ) was a Shiite clergyman with the religious title Ayatollah and an Iranian politician.

Act

On September 11, 1981, after the assassination attempt on Ayatollah Asadollah Madani , Meschkini was appointed Friday preacher of Qom by the chief legal scholar Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and until his death he held the most important position of head of the theological college for Iranian preachers .

The last expert , he was chairman and was designed by Seyyed Ali Khamenei for the 2007 newly elected expert "because of his age and his contribution to the Islamic Republic of Iran," the interim president appointed. Meskhini, who was said to be politically close to or dependent on Khamenei, followed the usual pattern in regime statements similar to those of Ahmad Jannati , Mesbah Yazdis or Ahmadinejads :

"America and England are canker sores"
" Hezbollah's victory over the Zionist regime is a divine phenomenon"

In his sympathy letter for the great scholar and religious fighter , Khamenei emphasized that Meshkini had not dissuaded the high offices from his simple and pious way of life.

Ali Meschkini's daughter is married to Mohammad Mohammadi Reyschahri , the first head of the VEVAK secret service .
