The Maico MC 500/4 is a car model from the vehicle manufacturer Maico from Pfäffingen . It appeared in June 1956 as largely the same, but more powerful, motorized version of the Maico MC 400/4 . The Maico MC 500/4 was the only vehicle in the series that was produced in larger numbers, but ultimately this model also failed and remained without a successor. Maico then withdrew from car manufacturing.

Body and chassis

The Maico MC 500/4 was a two-door sedan (doors hinged at the back) with a box frame and sheet steel body from Baur Karosserie- und Fahrzeugbau . The front wheels hung on double wishbones, the rear wheels on a swing axle with telescopic shock absorbers. In the first year of construction, the car had rubber torsion springs, which were replaced by coil springs in July 1957. At the same time he received telescopic front and rear shock absorbers.
