Maik Blankart (born August 4, 1992 in Troisdorf ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Career

Maik Blankart began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of the Kölner Haie . For their juniors he played in the German junior league from 2007 to 2009 , in which he scored three goals in 75 games and provided 16 assists, before he was appointed to the professional team for the first time in the 2009/10 season . For the Haie, the defender made his debut in the German Ice Hockey League on October 17, 2009 in a 4-0 home defeat against Iserlohn Roosters . In the 2010/11 season he ran again almost exclusively for the DNL team of EC Cologne. At the same time, he played two games as a loan player for EV Duisburg in the third-class league .

For the 2010/11 season , Blankart was hired by the upper division Hannover Braves and was given a license for the Hannover Indians from the 2nd Bundesliga .

In June 2015 he ended his career due to work and terminated his current contract with the Rote Teufeln Bad Nauheim at his own request. He still works as an ice hockey referee today.
