Maike Kesseler
Maike Kesseler (* 1982 ) is a German snooker referee from Mammendorf near Munich .
Career
Maike Kesseler came to snooker in 2005 , her interest was aroused in particular by the broadcasts on Eurosport . Just two years later, she passed her referee examination. First she was active in Germany in the amateur field and was then used in 2010 at the Paul Hunter Classic . The tournament in Fürth had already been occupied by professional players and was included in the professional tour this year as a small ranking tournament and part of the newly introduced Players Tour Championship . Along with Marcel Eckardt , she was one of the referees discovered and promoted by World Snooker . She got the offer to be a referee at other major professional tournaments. In 2013 she was used for the first time at the German Masters and in 2016 she led her first world ranking final there. It was also used several times at tournaments in Great Britain.
Maike Kesseler referees as a leisure activity. She works full time as a client advisor for a bank. Her partner Jürgen Kesseler is a snooker player and has already played in the German Bundesliga.
