The harvest window is comparatively large and is two weeks in South Tyrol, for example. However, the fruits have to be stored longer until they are ready for consumption . The tree has good yields. The apple tends to alternate , but this can be easily controlled with commercial growing methods. There may be glassiness . The susceptibility to powdery mildew and apple scab is average. In cold storage to La Flamboyante to March holds, and in CA storage are stored to June.

La Flamboyante probably cannot stand hot summers.
