Maja Robert-Pesl

Maja Robert-Pesl (born August 15, 1919 - † January 27, 2008 in Unterhaching ; actually Rosa Sophia Robert ) was a German patron.

Together with her husband Rudolf Pesl (honorary citizen of Unterhaching since December 14, 2011) she established the Pesl Foundation Unterhaching in 1990 in her place of residence Unterhaching , with the Culture and education as well as the recreation of needy people in the Munich suburb community should be promoted. The Pesl villa brought in by the couple became a cultural meeting place.

A year later they both founded the Pesl Foundation Bavaria , with which they supported the Munich- based Alte and Neue Pinakothek museums and the Bavarian National Museum in purchasing works of art.

In October 2001 the couple set up the Pesl Alzheimer Foundation , the purpose of which is to promote research into Alzheimer's disease and endogenous mental illnesses at the Psychiatric Clinic of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
