Maksymilian Rose

Maksymilian Rose (born May 19, 1883 in Przemyśl , † November 30, 1937 in Wilno ) was a Polish neurologist and psychiatrist.

Life

Rose studied medicine in Krakow from 1902 to 1908 . During his assistant years he was a student of Theodor Draw and Hermann Oppenheim in Berlin and Korbinian Brodmann in Tübingen. In 1925 he became head of department at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Brain Research in Berlin . In 1928 he completed his habilitation in Warsaw . From 1931 he was a professor at Vilnius University .

His main works were two atlases of cytoarchitectonics .
