Makwan Moloudzadeh

Makwan Moloudzadeh (born March 31, 1986 in the Kurdish part of Iran ; † December 4, 2007 in Kermanshah ) was sentenced to death on June 7th, 2007 by the 1st division of the criminal court of Kermanshah because he was 13 years old with a boys of the same age should have had anal intercourse .

The execution took place on December 4, 2007 in Kermanshah Central Prison. The death sentence sparked considerable protests worldwide, including by Amnesty International , in particular because Makwan Moloudzadeh was still a minor under Iranian law at the time of the crime. Mahmoud Hashemi Shahrudi applied for a stay of execution, but the court rejected it.
