Malcolm Yardley

Malcolm Yardley ( Harold Malcolm Yardley; born December 23, 1940 in Oldham ; † March 17, 2020 ) was a British sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, he was fifth in the 4-by-400-meter relay and reached the quarter-finals over 400 m .

In 1970 he retired for England starting at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 400 m in the lead.

In 1958 he became English champion over 440 yards .
