Malin Aune (born March 4, 1995 in Ranheim , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Norwegian national team.

Career

Malin Aune started playing handball at the age of eight in her birthplace near Ranheim IL. From 2012 the right winger played for the second division Selbu IL. Two years later she signed a contract with the first division club Oppsal IF . The left-hander has been playing for Vipers Kristiansand since the 2017/18 season . With the Vipers she won the Norwegian championship in 2018 and 2019 and the Norgesmesterskap, the Norwegian cup competition, in 2017 and 2019. Furthermore, she was in the final of the EHF Cup in 2018 .

Aune played 38 times for the Norwegian youth team and 34 times for the junior national team. With these selection teams, she took part in the 2011 U-17 European Championship , the 2012 U-18 World Championship , the 2013 U-19 European Championship and the 2014 U-20 World Championship . At the U-17 European Championship and the U-18 World Cup, she won the bronze medal. On March 19, 2015, she made her debut for the Norwegian national team. Aune won the European Championship with Norway in 2016 . She played for Norway at the 2018 European Championships .
