Malling is a city in East Jutland .

It belongs to the parish of Malling Sogn , which until 1970 belonged to Harde Ning Herred in what was then the Århus office . In the course of the municipal reform in 1970, this became part of the Århus Municipality in the enlarged Århus Office , which was opened up in the Midtjylland region with the 2007 municipal reform .

On January 1, 2012, the city had 3,694 inhabitants. Since January 1, 2013, Malling and Beder are statistically considered to be a single city ( byområde ) Beder-Malling , which currently has 8,898 inhabitants (January 1, 2020).
