The Malosemelskaja Tundra ( Russian Малоземельская ту́ндра ) is an undulating moraine landscape in the northeast of the European part of Russia .

The Malosemelskaya Tundra is part of the North Russian Lowlands . It is bounded by the rivers Pechora and Sula in the east and south and the Timan Ridge in the west. In the north there is the Barents Sea , in the southeast the Pechora lowland joins it. The Malosemelskaya Tundra is mostly north of the Arctic Circle .

Politically, the tundra extends over the territory of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug . Their height varies between 60 and 80  m . However, some surveys reach heights of 140- 180  m . The tundra landscape is interspersed with scree slopes and moraine hills.

The climate is sub-arctic with long cold winters and short cool summers. The mean temperatures in January are between −16 ° C and −17 ° C. In July, mean temperatures reach 12 ° C in the south and up to 8 ° C in the northern part of the tundra. The annual rainfall in the region is between 300mm and 350mm.

The Malosemelskaya tundra is largely drained by the river systems of the Indiga , Soima, and Sula.
