Mamadou Zongo (nickname: Bebeto ; born October 8, 1980 in Bobo-Dioulasso , Upper Volta , today Burkina Faso ) is a former football player and current coach from the West African state of Burkina Faso.

Career

After a successful season with his hometown club Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso , Zongo moved to ASEC Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. The first stop in Europe was Vitesse Arnheim in the Netherlands. Again and again, Zongo had to take longer injury breaks. About De Graafschap he moved in 2006 to the second Greek league to Ethnikos Piraeus . After one season he moved to Romania to Universitatea Cluj . In the spring of 2008 he moved to ASFA-Yennenga Ouagadougou in his home country Burkina Faso . There he ended his career in 2011.

International

Zongo took part in the 2000 African Cup of Nations for the Burkinabe national team. He played 21 internationals for Burkina Faso between 1996 and 2005.

Coaching career

After the end of his career, he was on April 8, 2013 coach of the Burkinabe Premier League club Santos FC Ouagadougou .
