Mamnoon Hussain
Mamnoon Hussain ( Urdu ممنون حسین; * March 2, 1940 in Agra , India ) is a Pakistani businessman and politician who was President of Pakistan from September 9, 2013 to September 9, 2018 .
In 1999 he was the governor of Sindh Province for a short time , but lost that post again after the military coup by Pervez Musharraf . As chairman of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry , he was nominated by the ruling Muslim League as a candidate for the 2013 presidential election and was elected the 12th President of Pakistan on July 30, 2013. Hussain took office on September 9, 2013. He succeeded Asif Ali Zardari , who did not stand for re-election. He is also said to have little political experience.
