The Mand is a left tributary of the Mahanadi in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh .
It rises south of the city of Ambikapur . The Mand flows mainly in a southerly direction. The Mand finally flows into the Mahanadi River southwest of Raigarh or 25 kilometers west of the Hirakud Reservoir . Its total length is about 241 km.
