Mandubier

The Mandubier ( Latin Mandubii ) were an association of Celtic tribes that lived in what is now Burgundy and the Jura department . The Haedu tribe bordered their area to the south . Alesia was the capital of the Mandubians and 52 BC. Place of the decisive battle between Caesar and Vercingetorix in the Gallic uprising in 52 BC. BC. Only mentioned by Caesar and Strabo , the Mandubians are likely to have risen in the Haeduern.
