Theodore Just

Theodore Just ( Theodore Hartmann Just ; born April 23, 1886 in Bristol , † February 13, 1937 in Marylebone , London ) was a British middle-distance runner .

In 1908 he became British Champion over 880 yards .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he and the Italian Emilio Lunghi followed the leading American Mel Sheppard for a long time in the final of the 800-meter run , but then fell on the home straight behind the Germans Hanns Braun and the Hungarians Ödön Bodor returned and finished fifth. He was also used in the Olympic relay on the 800-meter section, but was eliminated with the British team in the preliminary round.

Theodore Just studied first at the University of Cambridge and then medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.
