Emilio Lunghi (born March 16, 1887 in Genoa ; † September 26, 1925 there ) was an Italian middle-distance runner and sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he won the 800 meter silver medal with 1: 54.2 min behind the American Mel Sheppard (1: 52.8 min). Over 1500 meters , he was second behind Norman Hallows (4: 03.4 min) in the preliminary run with 4: 03.8 min and thus missed the participation in the final, for which only the preliminary winners qualified, although his time was not only the second fastest in in the preliminary races, but would also have been enough for the bronze medal in the final. In the 3-mile team run he did not finish in the preliminary run and was eliminated with the Italian team.

The following year, starting for the Irish-American Athletic Club , he set three world best times: 1: 27.8 min for 700 yards , 1: 52.8 min for 880 yards and 2: 45.6 min for a two-thirds - mile .

In 1912 he reached the semifinals at the Olympic Games in Stockholm over 400 meters and over 800 meters.
