Mandya ( Kannada : ಮಂಡ್ಯ Maṇḍya [ ˈmʌɳɖjʌ ]) is a city ( City Municipal Council ) in the southern Indian state of Karnataka with around 138,000 inhabitants (2011 census).
It is located in the south of Karnataka around 40 kilometers northeast of Mysore and 100 kilometers southwest of the capital Bangalore . Mandya is the administrative center of the district of the same name .
