Manfred Arlt

Manfred Arlt (born December 27, 1928 in Dresden ; † 2006 ) was a German architect.

Life

After completing an apprenticeship and two years of work as a journeyman bricklayer, Arlt studied at the State Building School in Dresden from 1947 to 1949. He then worked as an architect. He designed hotels and apartment complexes for Dresden city center, including Pragerzeile and the Interhotel Newa on Prager Strasse . In addition, Arlt was involved in the reconstruction of central buildings in Dresden, including the reconstruction of the New Town Hall and the renovation of the Dreikönigskirche .
