Manfred Bodin

Manfred Bodin (born November 14, 1939 in Münster ) is a German bank manager .

From 1991 until his retirement in 2004, he was CEO of Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale NORD / LB .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1957, Bodin completed vocational training as a banker at the Stadtsparkasse Münster and took part-time further training at the Sparkassenakademie , which he completed in 1968 with a degree in savings bank business administration . Since 1964 he worked as an auditor at Sparkasse Witten . In 1970 he was appointed to the board of the Kreissparkasse Recklinghausen and took over its chairmanship in 1976. In 1984 he was appointed CEO of Sparkasse Essen , followed in 1991 by the appointment of CEO of Nord / LB.

Since his retirement in 2004, Bodin has represented the Stifterverband der Deutschen Wissenschaften as chairman of the Lower Saxony State Board of Trustees and is involved in voluntary work, for example in the Lower Saxony Foundation , the Hanover State Opera Foundation or the International Neurobionics Foundation .

Manfred Bodin is Honorary Consul of Denmark .
